Our Story

Growing up in Nigeria, many of us are no strangers to common infections like malaria, typhoid, the common cold, urinary tract infections, and eczema. These challenges were part of my childhood too. Like most families, we turned to prescription antibiotics for relief. At first, they seemed like the answer, but over time, the infections returned, often needing stronger medications.

After 16 years of battling recurring illnesses with small wins along the way, I finally stopped experiencing these infections. However, I had no idea that the long-term use of antibiotics had left lasting damage to my gut health.

Years later, I became critically ill and consulted a Functional Medicine Doctor who traced my health struggles to my history of antibiotic use. He explained how these medications had likely compromised my gut lining, setting me on a journey of discovery and healing.

That journey transformed my life and inspired me to help others. I realized the importance of addressing root causes instead of just symptoms and empowering the body to heal naturally.

Founder, Mays Wholistic Health

Hello! My name is Modupe Aiyegbusi, and I’m honored to be the founder of Mays Wholistic Health. I am a wife and a proud mom of three wonderful children. I hold a degree in Social Work with a focus on Mental Health (Psychotherapy) from Rutgers University, USA.

My passion for holistic health began in 2015 when life took an unexpected turn. Shortly after the birth of my third baby, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis—a diagnosis that came as a complete shock to me and my family. Until that moment, I believed I was healthy.

The journey to recovery wasn’t easy, but it was transformative. Along the way, I discovered just how powerful and resilient our bodies are when equipped with the right tools and care. God designed our bodies to heal, and I am a living testament to that truth.

Today, I am passionate about sharing the knowledge and tools that helped me regain my health. My mission is to empower you to take charge of your well-being and make the best choices for yourself and your loved ones.
